Tucson Arizona has a surprising variety of skateable flat ground and has no shortage of basketball courts. However, below is a list of alternative places to skate other than the main competition space at Eric Michael Ogden Skate Rink. Below is a small list of a few favorites of ours.
Where to Skate.
Brandi Fenton Basketball Courts
3565 N Dodge Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85718
Bust Factor : None
Two covered basketball courts, perfect for when it rains or if the sun is too harsh. Can get busy on the weekends.
The Blocks
165 W Alameda St, Tucson, AZ 85701
Bust Factor : None
What was once one of the best street spots in Tucson but has since been undergoing a remodel. Bricks can be a bit rough but still a solid spot and lots of flat.
St. Augustine Cathedral Placita
192 S Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701
Bust Factor : Medium
Placita found at the St. Augustine Cathedral. Great place to skate however on really slow weekends you may get kicked out by the police… very rare however.
University of Arizona Campus
Bust Factor : High
The UofA is full of great flat ground spots, however the police can be pretty strict. That being said there are a couple notable spots that have a pretty low bust factor, as we have rarely had trouble with security/police.
Ritmos Latinos UofA Dancing location, no direct address. However, can be found on google maps and is excellent flat ground.
